Kirkwood Spring Festival and events in Downtown Kirkwood Atlanta

Kirkwood Festivals + Events

Every year more and more people flock to Atlanta’s Kirkwood neighborhood for the laid back festivals and events.  Here are just a few of our favorite things to do:

Kirkwood Spring Fling and Tour of Homes (MAY)

Annual art and music festival takes place in Kirkwood’s Bessie Branham Park. A home tour also runs the entire weekend. Festival is free, but tickets are required for the tour of homes.  Event address is 2051 Delano Drive NE in Atlanta, GA 30317.

Kirkwood Spring Fling 5K Race (MAY)

This 5K fun run kicks off the Spring Fling festival. The race begins at 11 Kirkwood Rd NE.

Lanta Gras – Kirkwood Mardi Gras Parade (JANUARY)

Can’t make it to New Orleans this year? The Downtown Kirkwood celebration is filled with music, dancing, floats, beads and a good time for the whole family. The Downtown District is located on Hosea L Williams Drive, in between Norwood Avenue and Saunders Street.

Kirkwood Wine Stroll (SEPTEMBER)

Popular wine tasting event in Downtown Kirkwood with 40+ participating locations offering samples and snacks. This is a great way to meet your neighbors, as well as Kirkwood business owners, great wine and live music by some amazing local bands on three different stages. Event is located on Hosea L Williams Drive,

Kirkwood Eats & Beats (APRIL – NOVEMBER)

Every Thursday from mid-April to mid-November, Eats and Beats is a weekly pop up food truck and music event in the heart of Downtown Kirkwood. Event is located at 2003 Oakview Rd SE.

One of the things we love most about Kirkwood is that there is quite a bit of green space and residents actually use it on a regular basis! Bessie Branham Park is located in between Norwood Avenue and Kirkwood Road and offers a ball field, basketball courts, picnic area and one of the best playgrounds Intown. This is also the home of the annual Kirkwood Spring Fling Festival.

Just down the road, you’ll also find Gilliam Park, Coan Park and the Kirkwood Urban Forest and Community Garden.
